Learn about the First Home Buyer Grant Scheme

The first home owners grant has now been extended to 31 December 2009. Read the latest press release in Stavi's Blog now.

The FHOG has been adjusted as follows: established property to $14,000 and the newly constructed properties raised to $21,000; plus the $3,000 NSW First Home Buyers supplement. 

The period after the sunset date (30/9/09) between the 1 October to 31 December 2009 the FHOG will be reduced to $10,500 for established property and $14,000 for new.

The Current First Home Owner Grant Scheme is funded as follows:

(1) - The First Home Owner Grant Scheme is set by the State Government for those planning to buy 'newly constructed' or established property (including buildings and land).

(2) - The First Home Supplement is additional to the FHOG for newly constructed dwellings and the purchase of vacant land limited to the value of $300,000.

(3) - The First Home Owners Boost is set by the Federal Government to support the FHOG Scheme (conditions apply).
